Dog Sitting

I am dog sitting.
The dog is doing my head in.
He is really sweet and calm and kind but also smells like fish food.
He also rubs his head on the carpet.
The carpet now smells like fish food.
He has to have chicken ripped up into tiny pieces and hidden under his 'Bakers' but he doesn't like the green peas so I have to take them out for him.
When I walk him (which is annoying anyway) he wees everywhere and then he lets his wee fall onto his feet.
Then because he is a dog and doesn't have footwear that he can take off...you can imagine where the fish food smell may have formed.
However, he has started to put his paws around my neck when I am sad, thoughtful, bored.
And I have started to oddly enjoy it.

  1. There is something on this post that really makes me feel the words. I don't even have a dog... God only knows!

  2. Laura I wrote a poem for you:
The nails ducked beneath the mammoth smooth marble soap that lay beside the A27. They tunnelled around, occasionally bumping into the underside of the great sodium hydroxide filled bar. They came across earthworms drenched in squidgy black, paste form marijuana. They dried off some dope and got high, then they realised... they were being self-indulgent and, frankly, pathetic.= Ted
